Instructions:

  1. Ink the edges of the acrylic pieces using solvent ink and allow to dry.
  2. To make letters for pieces, either use die cuts or use computer and printer to print out the word, then use the printed letters as templates to trace onto your black paper and cut them out.
  3. Attach the letters to the front side of the acrylic using Glue Arts Micro Adhesive Squares.
  4. Cut circles from orange paper and adhere to the back side of the acrylic using the Glue Arts Micro AdhesiveSquares.  Hide the adhesive behind the letters so it can’t be seen from the front side of the project.
  5. Use the solvent ink and stamps on the front side of the project and allow to dry.
  6. Add embellishments to the front side of the project using Glue Arts Micro Adhesive Squares and Glue Arts Adhesive Squares.
  7. Use ribbon pieces to tie the pieces together through holes in the sides.  (If your pieces didn’t have pre-punched holes, use a puncher to make them yourself, but be sure that they all line up).
  8. To make the picket fence, I took two pieces of paper that were 10 inches wide by about 4 inches tall.  I scored them every 2.5 inches and folded them accordion style, then cut my own picket fence design into them.  When unfolded, they look like a four- paneled piece of fence, and I attached the two together using Glue Arts Micro Adhesive Squares to make one long fence.
  9. For the wall décor, I traced a bat shape onto black paper and cut it out using fine-point scissors.  I attached these to the wall over my acrylic pieces using Glue Arts Wall Art Décor Adhesive.

    Options and Suggestions:
Letters and shapes can also be cut using an electronic die-cut machine.
Chipboard can be used in place of the acrylic, just be sure to either paint the front or cover it in Halloween paper before attaching the letters and embellishments.  Be sure to also add anything that was attached to the back of the acrylic before attaching letters.
The Halloween shapes can be placed all over the house for cute Halloween accents, just use the Glue Arts Wall Arts Adhesive to place them in the desired spot and they’ll come off easily when the holiday is over!
If you don’t have die-cuts, try tracing the shapes you need from cookie cutters.  They are easy to find around the holidays.
